ONE WEEK
Open to BEGINNERS who would like to study Italian bobbin lace. All the basics will be covered during this course. Stitched samples will be worked by the students for their notebooks. Students will study the history and tradition of bobbin lace in Italy and will have the opportunity to study firsthand antique and modern examples.

This course is open to ADVANCED students who would like to learn special techniques of Italian bobbin lace. Each student will do samples for a notebook. Students will study the history and tradition of bobbin lace in Italy and will have the opportunity to study firsthand antique and modern examples.

ONE WEEK
Open to beginning and advanced students. Needlelace is a form of lacemaking done with a needle. Students will learn all the basic steps from setting up the design on the pillow, the design preparation, different filling stitches, decorative raised stitches and finishing techniques.
Stitched samples of each technique will be done by the students for their notebooks. Students will study the history of needlelace and will have the opportunity to study firsthand antique and modern examples.

ONE-WEEK COURSE
Opened to beginners and advanced students who would like to learn the following techniques used in Italian embroidery:
Punto Assisi
Punto Sorbello
Punto Palestrina
Punto Casalguidi
Punto Parma
Punto Fiamma
Punto Caterina deMedici
Punto Rodi
Ars Panicalensis (embroidery on tulle).
Stitched samples of each technique will be done by the students for their notebooks. Students will study the history of each technique and will have the opportunity to study firsthand antique and modern examples.

OPENWORK EMBROIDERY K
ONE-WEEK COURSE
Opened to beginners as well as advanced students who would like to learn special embroidery techniques used to create open work patterns and designs as found in fine Italian needlework. The following open work techniques will be taught:
Punto tagliato
cutwork
Punto reticello
geometric lace filling
Punto sfilato
drawn thread work
Punto tirato
pulled thread
Punto a giorno
hemstitching.
Stitched samples of each technique will be done by the students for their notebooks. Students will study the history of each technique and will have the opportunity to study firsthand antique and modern examples.

CLOTHING EMBELLISHMENT L
ONE-WEEK COURSE
Opened to beginners as well as advanced students who would like to learn traditional as well as non traditional embroidery techniques used in designer fashions.
Stitched notebook samples of each technique will be done by students. Students will have the opportunity to study original designer samples.
